Exhibitions & Events at the Museum and in the Town

At Gudhjem Museum, you can experience art, culture and local history in Gudhjem. As an art museum and cultural history museum, Gudhjem Museum presents changing exhibitions and events that offer new experiences with every visit.

During a season, we present 5–7 changing special exhibitions featuring Bornholm art and craft. In addition, the permanent local history exhibitions tell the story of Gudhjem, its artistic life and the development of Bornholm.
Gudhjem Museum presents both contemporary art and art from Gudhjem’s “Golden Age” in the 20th century, when modern painters of the time flocked to the town and established Gudhjem as an important centre for artists.

Throughout the year, Gudhjem Museum organises talks, lectures, guided tours, artist talks, workshops and a variety of cultural events – both inside the museum and in the museum park. In some years, concerts and theatre performances are also part of the programme, offering visitors a special art and cultural experience on Bornholm.
